October Blues

On the last days of a late autumn hike in Sarek National Park the weather turned moody. I really enjoy being out in conditions like these, they make me feel alive.

The distant snow-capped mountains were glowing against the dark clouds that were rolling in. I was inspired when I made this exposure but in the back of my head I didn’t think it would work due to the very soft light and the long distance. I had failed on similar scenes before.

I was positively surprised when I got back home and it’s become one of my favorites from the trip.
