I found this snow cave while exploring around camp during an August adventure in Sarek National Park. The light was too harsh mid-day so I decided to go back with my camera at sunset to capture it in the soft evening light.
When I went back I was a bit nervous that it had caved in during the warm day. Luckily the snow cave was still holding up.
From the outside it didn’t look as interesting but from inside the shape of the opening was stunning. I worked carefully with the composition to frame the mountains of Sarek inside the opening.
I waited for the mountain peaks to catch the last rays of the sunset to add contrast to the blue colours of the snow cave.
