Spring Colors

I captured this scene during a packrafting trip in the old forests of Jougdadalen in Jämtland. I really enjoyed the difference in colors between the spruce and birch trees.

In the late afternoon the sun was in the right angle to light up the birch foliage from behind which helped to amplify the difference of colors in the forest.

On one of the days I didn’t secure the valve of the packraft correctly. A couple of hundred meters from the shoreline I realized that the boat was losing air so I paddled back to shore as quick as possible. I made it back just in time not to soak my gear.
