In Search of The Light
I’m a full-time photographer with a passion for and focus on the Swedish wilderness. In 2022 I was awarded the “Nature Photographer of The Year” by the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency.
Through my work I strive to create art that inspires and brings awareness to what’s out there – off the beaten path.
Currently I’m working on a one year project called Moments in The Wilderness. My ambition with the project is to capture the spirit of the mountains and old forests of Sweden.
When I’m not out on an adventure seeking the light with my camera I live in the countryside outside Östersund in Jämtland together with my partner Petra.
My journey as a photographer began 20 years ago in a remote valley in the Swedish mountains. There I fell in love with both the mountains and photography at the same time. I kind of knew right then and there that I was hooked for life.
Since then I’ve been exploring the mountains and forests of Sarek, Padjelanta, Kebnekaise, Muddus and lots of other lesser-known areas. I’ve spent years of my life deep in the wilderness, experiencing everything from the fiercest of snowstorms to the most calm and serene summer mornings.
I’ve climbed mountains, crossed rivers, battled mosquitoes in the summer and pulled my pulk painstakingly slow through deep snow in the winter. All in search of that special photograph.
Through my photography I want to bring you there, to these wild places, the changing seasons and the fleeting moments of light.
My photographs are available as stunning Signed Original Prints. Printed proudly by myself in my studio on the finest materials and with attention to the details.
