Niak

Niak is one of the iconic mountains of Sarek. I’ve photographed its unmistakable shape on many adventures, but on this cold winter morning in May I felt like I had done the mountain justice in a photograph for the first time.

The northern face of Niak catched the first light of the day in the most beautiful way. I found shelter behind a large rock to get away from the strong winds. Luckily, I was able to get a sharp exposure.
