Arctic Light

I’ve always been fascinated by the extreme cold and the special light it brings. After days of cold weather the landscape around the river Pärlälven was covered in a thick layer of frost.

The days are short this time of year and around noon the sun had reached it’s highest positions just above the tree tops. For a few minutes everything around me was shimmering in the most beautiful golden light.

Although the thermometer read – 35° C, the light brought warmth to my soul.
